Thing 3 Image Banks

A photo downloaded from Pixabay.      Image banks I have in the past used Pexels for looking for images for tweets and for posters.  I am unable to access Pixabay because of the IT restrictions in work and as a result I use Pexels. Reading the information prior to the task for thing 3 helped me about usage of images.  I hadn’t realised that you could restrict your search on Google images to free images, which I will use in the future when searching Google.  Having found free images in Google, I was looking for an image for a poster to promote the Library.  I clicked on tools then restricted the search to usage rights, labelled for reuse.  It is very straight forward to use and limits the relevant results.  I had never clicked on tools before and the options underneath did prove very useful.  It will also encourage me to explore the tabs on the whole screen, as you never know what you will find which would prove useful. ...

Providing a Library Service   I work in HSC Library Craigavon located in Craigavon Area Hospital which is under Queen's University.   We provide a Library service for Healthcare Professional and also University Students, each with their different information requirements. There are many elements to providing a good Library Service from issuing and checking in books to helping researchers access the information they require for writing paper/dissertations etc. Why do people come to the Library? Our customers come to the Library to get the information they require for study, professional development or for to equip them with knowledge about medical conditions. The information they require may be found in a book, a journal, database. Customers also come to the Library to access Library facilities such as computers, printers and study space.
